Why can't I hear the 8D effect?

The spatial effect needs headphones — any headphones work, wired or Bluetooth. On speakers the audio plays but the orbit collapses to ordinary stereo.

Which devices support head tracking?

Head tracking uses the motion sensors in AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max. With other headphones the toggle shows "AirPods only" and everything else works normally.

The motion makes me feel dizzy

A small number of people are sensitive to moving audio. Open Motion in the player and choose Gentle intensity with Drift (irregular, unhurried) or Still (no motion). Start with a 2-minute timer and build up. If discomfort continues, stop using motion — Still mode keeps the full soundscape without any movement.

Where is my music? The catalog says "coming soon"

Whorl launches with a first set of spatial soundscapes, and new studio-produced drops land regularly — that's the fun part. Tell us what you want more of.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Whorl. Cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal prevents the next charge. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is Whorl therapy?

No. Whorl is inspired by bilateral and spatial audio techniques, but it is a wellness app for relaxation and focus — not EMDR, not therapy, and not a medical treatment. If you're working through something heavy, please do it with a professional.
